VpCI-337 F is a ready-to-use, FDA/USDA approved, solvent-based corrosion inhibitor for indoor use. Vapor phase inhibitors in VpCI-337 F migrate and protect metal surfaces, resulting in time and cost savings. VpCI-337 F is used to protect edges of coils and stacks. With VpCI-337 F, very little product is needed to protect large areas or volumes. It is effective on ferrous metals as well as aluminum and plated steels. VpCI-337 F is consistently successful in providing protection to the basic metals, metalworking, and packaging industries.

Description

Products protected by VpCI-337 F are always ready-to-use; no degreasing or stripping is necessary. The metal will retain a clean, rust-free surface. The thin, protective film has
been proven not to affect paintability, conductivity, appearance, or any other important property of metals or alloys. VpCI-337 F is approved for use on steel or tinplate in food
packaging by the Food and Drug Administration. VpCI-337 F’s ingredients are further approved by the United States Department of Agriculture for use on packaging material with
direct contact with meat and poultry food products.

APPLICATION

Coils, stack, and sheets are readily protected with easyto-apply, effective, and long-lasting VpCI-337 F. Spray fine mist of VpCI-337 F uniformly on laps and edges. The unique vapor action will protect the interior surfaces that are subject to attack by moisture. VpCI-337 F does not interfere with sensitive painting, lithographing, or welding processes. All grades of cold and hot-rolled steel, aluminum, black and tinplate, silicone, electrical, aluminized, and precoated steels can be treated with VpCI-337 F. VpCI-337 F can also be applied in-process for corrosion protection between pickling and annealing, after temper rolling, and after quenching, drawing, stamping, slitting, hydrotesting, and other processes. Fog or mist VpCI-337 F concentrate into containers, boxes, crates, and shrouded packages at a rate of 1 pint (0.4 liter) for every 50 ft3 (1.4 m3) of enclosed space. Spray on cardboard, wood pallets, closed and open cell foams, metal container and other packaging materials. Always spray VpCI-337 F uniformly within enclosure and allow direct access of vapors to metal surfaces to be protected.
