CorShield® VpCI®-146 Creped Paper is premium corrosion inhibiting creped paper that offers a cushioning effect to physically protect delicate parts. Fully recyclable/repulpable and does not contain any nitrites, phosphates, or silicates.

Description

CorShield VpCI-146 Creped Paper is the premium corrosion inhibiting paper in the industry. Our patented Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting (VpCI) technology has revolutionized the
way metals are protected in an enclosed package. CorShield Creped Paper provides superior corrosion protection for multiple metals, both ferrous and non-ferrous. CorShield Creped Paper also offers cushioning effect to physically protect delicate parts. CorShield Creped Paper is environmentally safe, non-toxic, biodegradable, and doesn’t contain any nitrites, phosphates, or silicates. It is made from the highest quality neutral kraft paper without any chemical bleaching. CorShield Creped Paper is fully recyclable/repulpable.

CorShield Creped Paper is easy to use. There are no chemical concentrations to calculate, no chemical tanks or application systems to maintain. Just wrap your products in the creped
paper and fold edges together. Use adhesive tape as needed to hold paper folds in place. CorShield Creped Paper cradles your delicate parts to cushion them from damage during
transportation. It also gently holds residual RP oil on the parts if applied, reducing messy oil leak.

The VpCI coating on the creped paper vaporizes and reaches all metal surfaces, inaccessible spaces included, to provide complete corrosion protection. The unique Cortec® VpCI forms a very thin and very effective protective layer that does not alter the appearance of products or requires removal before further processing or use. The protective layer will not influence properties of most sensitive electrical parts, including conductivity and resistance. Parts protected with CorShield Creped Paper can be painted, welded, and soldered.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

CorShield Creped Paper can be used to protect products for storage and shipment in a variety of ways: single item packaging, interleaving, end closures for shipping tubes, insert
strips for recessed areas in large packages, and as sheet liners or separators between products. It is particularly suitable for bearing industry as CorShield Creped Paper offers cushioning, corrosion protection and “pooling” effect for RP oils.

Some typical applications:
• Bearing protection: during storage and shipment
• Metal producing: coils, wire reels, plate, bar, etc
• Metal forging and die casting: raw and machined forgings and castings
• Metalworking: stamping, sheet metal work, springs, bearings, fasteners, tube, pipe, nails, etc
• Finished products: engines, machinery, equipment, tools, hardware, appliances, instruments, motors, etc
• Electrical and electronic components, controls, etc

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Products should be packaged as soon after cleaning as possible, but completely dried of residual water. Keep the VpCI paper as close to the surface of the product as practical, leaving
no barrier between the VpCI paper and the metal surface to be protected.

Standard Construction: Neutral natural creped paper coated with VpCI material. The paper contains printed logo on reverse side to the VpCI coating.
